Girls On Dresses: Lela of lelalondon.com

Yankee-Brit stylist, editor, blogger & next top model (le tiny edition), Lela is also the proud owner of her maltipom, Waffles, and Terreranian, Pancakes.  Currently based in Bangkok, Lela authors

Your first ever dress was: An enormously fluffy white Christening dress. I obviously cried when it got wet.

Your oldest dress: A long white shirt that I tie and wear as a dress. That counts, eh? 😉

Your most expensive dress: …is from Alexander McQueen. Definitely more of a collector’s item, for me!

Seen the most dancefloors: A very, very sparkly black mini. Comfort is key, so it really delivers.

Favourite dress: I could never, ever choose just one!

What was the last event you wore a dress to and what did you wear? A dinner party, where I wore a hand-made baby blue peplum dress. Love my peplums.

Mini or Maxi? Mini! I’m only 5ft 2!

Who are your red carpet idols? Who always gets it right? Recently, it has been Selena Gomez. There is always something quirky in her look without venturing too far away from classic bombshell silhouettes.

What is your most memorable dress moment? When my (very necessary) dress strap broke during a dance recital. Memorable for all the wrong reasons!

Carven Cut Out Dress - Hire: £79 - RRP: £420Which dress would be top of your Girl Meets Dress lust list? This fabulous Carven dress: http://hire.girlmeetsdress.com/collections/new-dresses/products/striped-cut-out-dressA great option for curvy ladies with tiny waists!

As someone who always has a new event to attend – how would Girl Meets Dress complement your life? Affordability! As a stylist, impact is created through unique (and often expensive) designs. Being able to rent a dress cuts costs in half, at least.

Cristina’s Monaco in the M Missoni Dress

Okay, so it was a while ago on the social calendar, but we couldn’t let it pass by without giving our buyer Cristina’s memorable trip to Monaco a mention.  Especially because she was giving our new M Missoni halter dress a test drive!  Cristina recounts her memorable Monaco moments….

What Cristina Wore:

Dress: Halter Maxi Dress- M Missoni

Evening: Leather Jacket – Fendi

Sandals: Patrizia Pepe

Bangles: My Mom’s

Clutches: White for Day/Black for evening -both Stella McCartney

What Cristina Did: Watched the Grand Prix – ‘it was so loud, even with the headphones!’

What Cristina Ate: ‘to be honest, I was disappointed in the food-couldn’t find a good club sandwich in the whole of Monaco!’

Who Cristina Said Hi to: Boy George!

Biggest Faux Pas Spotted: Tatiana Santo Domingo wearing a maxi shapeless dress with flats and undone hair – it just looked a bit beachy and not polished enough!

Main Trends Spied: ‘Lots of Herve Leger and dresses by Azzadine Alaia, (Monaco was mainly monochrome- lots of black and white and some nude). Lengths were mostly knee-length, there were lots of tailored blazers to be seen for evening.’

Any GMD Dresses Spotted? ‘Not apart from mine! I should have paid more attention!’

Event High-lights: The race itself was amazing! Listening to the F1 cars (theyre soooooo so so so loud) you have to wear special ear-muffs to prevent hearing loss.  The car engines can be heard all over the city as the race goes on as well- its very exciting! And seeing Richard Branson and Princess Beatrice at the Amber Lounge After Party (she was wearing a LBD and looked so pretty! I insist the media only prints bad pictures of her).

Event Low-lights: The casino. ‘It’s not as glitzy as it sounds. Oh and the service everywhere was terrible, might have been because it was the Grand Prix- who knows.’

Cristina dons a leather jacket & swaps her nude clutch for a dark one for evening
