If you’re looking for something gorgeous for your Valentine’s date that will knock his socks off, look no further than this ‘Winona’ dress by Ameè Lou.
What do we love about it? Well, for starters – it’s not pink or red, so you’re avoiding being sartorially obvious. But make no mistake, this is a gorgeous, romantic dress.
The cross-over neckline which extends into a stunning racer-back will show off shoulders – so much sexier (and classier!) than cleavage. Plus the draped chiffon detail on the skirt will flatter the hip and thigh area – perfect if you’re self-conscious about that area.
For out-and-out glamour, why not pair it with this Angel Jackson studded sequin satchel? The sequins are pretty and will make you feel special, but the studs harden the look for a rock vibe. What’s more, this bag is one of Angel Jackson’s most iconic and at an RRP of £255 you can be sure to be the talk of the town, whether going on a date with your man or a Valentine’s girl’s night out.
The Ameè Lou Winona dress is £49 for 2 nights or £59 for 7 nights. The Angel Jackson studded sequin satchel is £39 for 2/7 nights with any dress, or £59 for one month if borrowed alone.

It’s my 30th birthday next month, and I want to celebrate it in style. What can I wear to make me look and feel both beautiful and sophisticated?
Your 30th Birthday Celebration is definitely one you want to remember: you don’t want to be another ‘depressed-because-I’m-turning-thirty person’, but rather that girl who looked so fabulous that she made 30 the new 20! So here is my top choice, in keeping with the ‘beautiful/sophisticated’ request:
The Ruth Tarvydas – Poshy dress is an incredibly sophisticated and simultaneously sexy dress. There is no need to wear accessories with it, because the lace on the leg gives it more than enough detail. Just wear with your favourite pair of black heels, and you will have a look that is to die for!
Have a very Happy Birthday from GMD!

This classic Diane von Furstenberg dress is our dress of the week.
You can’t go wrong with a spot of DvF and this wrap dress will flatter most body shapes. Think of it as a blank canvas and style it according to your taste and the occasion. Pair with a sharp blazer for work or knee high patent boots for a sophisticated dinner out. Or if you fancy something a bit more interesting, why not get a head start on SS11’s neon and brights trend and throw on some brightly coloured opaques?
Alternatively, add a statement necklace (try Mawi for directional investment pieces) to make this dress really pop!
Diane von Furstenberg Belia Wrap Dress is £109 for 2 nights and £119 for 7 nights.

This week we’re lusting after this Christopher Kane jewel green accordian pleat silk dress with velvet trim.
While it was seen on the catwalk with bare legs and open-toe sandals, the colours of this dress lends it to cooler months too. In fact, it’s perfect for trans-seasonal dressing, which at this time of year is ideal but hard to nail. Don’t be afraid of pairing this couture number with opaques, shoe boots and a fabulous coat for a special January night out (or why not book now for your Valentine’s date?) Or if you’ve had enough of boots, try slipping on some patent brogues for a different take on cocktail dressing.
The structured flounce hem make it a fun party dress that you won’t be able to help but dance in!
The Christopher Kane Accordian silk dress is £189 for 2 nights or £199 for 7 nights.
