NICKNick’s GMD Picks

1-  STELLA MCCARTNEY / Pleated Stretch Dress

This dress combines a modern silhouette with bright colour, even better it would suit all body shapes/ Pleats just got sexy.
2.  VICTORIA BECKHAM / Photo Print Dress
Modern way to wear florals is to combine them with black, this a sharp and elegant way to cover this trend and VB dresses couldn’t be hotter right now
3.  ETRO / Paisley Print Dress
Perfect for a bit of chic summer madness this dress is trippy but not hippy and perfectly suited to ladies who want to keep their arms covered
4. MARC JACOBS / Rainbow Paillette Dress
A nod to the sixties this easy to wear shift is brought bang up to date with the use of modern technical fabric, perfect for holiday packing, if you’re daring why not wear the outer shift over a bikini!
5. CARVEN / Two Tone Drape Dress
Is it a top and skirt, no its a dress and the sharp chic and smart way to take you from office to an event, just add  a statement necklace from Erickson Beamon

Nick’s GMD Q&A

What is style to you?

You either have it or you don’t, fashion is transient but style is forever

How would you describe your style in one word?

Eclectic

What is your one fashion motto you keep in mind when styling?

‘Dream a little and break the rules’  after all styling is ultimately about creating a fantasy.
What is the one item of clothing you could not live without?
A bespoke suit by Anderson and Sheppard, I very seldom wear it together but will break it up to make other looks.
It’s been a worthwhile investment and I think when it comes to clothing quality shows!

1- Diva Sopha Jessica Gold Gown

Red carpet glam at it’s very best, this liquid metallic gown is a big statement but totally worth it if you’ve been invited to a fancy pants party. I’d team it with ’20s waves, Art Deco earrings and skyscraper heels, then hang around waiting for Ryan Gosling to approach (he might just want to know where the loo is but at least you have an in).

2- Alice and Olivia Candice Print Dress

I first saw this amazing summer shift on Solange at Coachella last year and have been obsessing over it ever since (besides, fruit never goes out of fashion and five a day should definitely apply to clothes too). I’d wear it with turquoise heels and a punchy pink lip – my fave fuchsia in the world is MAC Lipstick in Impassioned.

3- Alice and Olivia Papina Dress

This dress makes me want to sing Lady In Red (but don’t worry, I won’t). The little buttons and peekaboo lace are really cute but need a bit of toughening up – hello leopard heels and studded leather! I’d wear a ’90s poker-straight ponytail and lots of grungy eyeliner to make it a bit rockier.

4- Moshino Two Tone Lace Dress

The midi is a really flattering length on virtually everyone, and the combo of lace and bold mono stripes make this dress easy to get away with at summer weddings or parties. You could even get away with fancy flats if you’re not a heel-wearer. I would do the clash with a pretty floral blazer, a ’60s bouff and pastel extras

5- Issa Zebra Knit Dress

Zebra print + a bright biker + bejewelled sandals + a glitter box clutch = a winning Palermo-inspired party look. This frock is super versatile though – nude courts and a minimal clutch would look just as good.

 GMD’s Q&A with Hannah

How would you describe your style in one word?

Eclectic

What is the one item of clothing you could not live without?

My Sophia Webster Amma heels. They cost me a month’s rent but they look and feel like a carnival on my feet. They’re the grown-up equivalent of those plastic princess shoes you had when you were five.

Who is your style icon?

Poppy Delevingne is a goddess. From her flawless hair and make-up to the nail polish on her little toe, she seems so polished yet effortlessly cool. She always looks really chic but adds quirky little touches which I love.

GMD’s Q&A with  Alexandra

How would you describe your style?

My style is androgynous at best, in reality just a bit scruffy! I do love glamming up in an amazing dress though – especially designer dresses, they’re that extra bit special and, most importantly, you’re unlikely to bump into someone wearing the same thing!

What is the One item you could not live without?

Jeans. Ripped, boyfriend, skinny – I love them all. I build most of my outfits around jeans, they’re my ultimate wardrobe staple.

Who is your style icon?

The Olsen twins are my ultimate style icons. Their expert layering is second to none and they are the queens of boho. I also love Victoria Beckham’s style – she’s always so well put-together.
