And in true London style there will be a  bankside festival celebrating all things French. Bastille Day celebrates the birth of La Republique and falls on 14 July, the special Sunday festival will include live music, French food and games.

This summer, Battersea Power Station and Everyman, in association with Heineken, are creating a whole new pop up experience! The powerstation will be turned into a hub of street food, drink and films. The powerstation will play host to movies from every decade, for every generation (including The jungle Book,Wayne’s World,Dirty Harry and many more). This special festival comes with the added option to choose your own bespoke viewing pod for 2 or 4 complete with waiter service and comfortable bean bags! What better way to spend your weekend than in the company of good food, good people and the best films.

The rumours have been true! GMD can confirm the highly anitcipated re-opening of Frank’s Café is happening!! the unique rooftop bar opens it’s doors to customers from the 6th June 2014. The bar has an open air & cosmopolitan vibe that is quinessentially the epitomie of summer in London. Once you have tested their new cocktail menu and soaked up the panaramic views of the city you can unwind with the house menu with tasty treats from Buffalo chicken wings & blue cheese crème fraiche to Jerk chicken thighs with sweetcorn salsa and potato salad. Frank’s is definatly the one of London’s best kept secrets!
