How do I return my dress?
Returning the dresses you've enjoyed is quick and easy. Follow the simple steps below to return a dress. If you are returning more than one item, they need to be sent back in the same box.

1. Simply pack the items in their original packaging and stick the Girl Meets Dress return address label provided inside the box and fill out the return form enclosed.

2. Drop your box at the local Post Office before 4.30pm. No additional fees or postage will be needed. Please ensure you keep your receipt safe as this is your proof of postage and has the tracking number. If an item doesn't arrive back with us and you cannot prove you sent it, we will charge you for the loss of the item.

3. All packages are on a 'Next Day' service so we will receive the box back the next working day before 1pm and will email you to confirm receipt / Take the next steps / Process the refund etc.


If you are the 1st person to borrow a certain dress you will notice that it has some retail tags attached. To return the dress for a refund all tags MUST be left attatched.

...But if you wear the dress - obviously please feel free to remove the tags to avoid an embarassing social situation!


What if I receive a dress but it doesn't fit?
Once the courier arrives at your door and you have signed for the package, please try on your Girl Meets Dress items.
If none of them are suitable and you require a full refund you have 24 hours to post the box back to us from your local Post Office. If for some reason you cannot do this please get in touch. If you are trying on more than one dress and you wish to wear one of them. Please keep all of your dresses and post them back together after the event.
If you are receiving the dresses for an ADVANCE TRY ON, the same applies. Fill out the form enclosed in the box and tell us your decision on the dresses.


When will I receive my refund?
After we have received your dress / dresses back and refund request, we will process the refund and notify you via e-mail.
The refund will be in the same form of payment that you originally used.
Refunds will be dealt with within 7 business days of us receiving your return.
Please note card refunds may take up to 14 business days for your bank to complete, depending on their processing time. This can vary greatly between card issuers, and unfortunately we are unable to influence this.
Your refund outcome will depend on the Items being in the original condition they were sent to you minus of course any minor accidental damage of they were worn.


What if I miss my return date/time?
Please inform us at customersupport@girlmeetsdress.com as soon as this happens to avoid being charged late fees unnecessarily.
Should an item not be returned within the pre-determined date, we reserve the right to charge your card accordingly.
You will be charged late fees to the value of the stated rental fee of the dress depending how late you return it since you are preventing someone else from looking fabulous at her event. For example, if you keep a dress 2 nights longer and this dress is £49.00 for 2 nights, you will be charged £49.00.
You can, however, extend your rental time, if the dress is available. Simply get in touch to check.


Order Cancellation Policy
If you wish to cancel your order please let us know as soon as you can by contacting customer service on customersupport@girlmeetsdress.com and we will be happy to take care of it for you.

If you have not yet received and tried on your dresses, we will happily issue you a full refund up to 4 weeks before your event date minus a £20.00 cancellation fee.

Within the 4 weeks before your event, GMD credit will be issued for the value of the 1 individual dress with the highest value in your order. The remaining amount will be refunded back onto the card you used.

Once you have tried on and confirmed that you wish to wear a dress, including advance try ons, any following cancellations are not eligible for a refund or GMD credit.
