HOW DO I HIRE A DRESS?
Borrowing a dress is really easy! and you do not have to be a member to borrow
1. Browse for a dress you love from our selection of over 3,500 dresses and over 150 designer brands, using any of
our search categories.
2. Select your size and the number of nights you would like to keep it for
3. Click 'Add to Bag' to proceed to checkout.
4. We will then get in touch to confirm delivery time and date (+ a try on before your event if eligable)
5. Wear the dress to your event and enjoy the admiring glances!
6. Pop the dress back in the pre-paid packaging for return when you're done with it

All dresses are available to try on, but this may vary with how busy it is

Once payment has been made and the purchase process completed:
1. We will get in touch and arrange to send you the dress before your event date
2. You try on the dress for size and return it to us the same day.
3. If the dress fits, we will then reserve and keep it safe and sound for you until your re-delivery date
4. If the dress does not fit, we will send you another one, or refund you the price of the rental.
Note: Shipping fees cannot be refunded.
YES, simply process the order and make sure you selected your event date by clicking on the calendar icon at checkout stage.
Once the Order has been placed and payment has been made we will reserve the dress and get in touch to see if you
would like to try on the dress before your date.
YES, you can try on up to 3 dresses be simply placing the order for all three.
Note: we reserve the right to limit the number of dresses eligible for a try on at our discretion.
Once the courier arrives and you have signed for the package, you have 2 hours to notify us of an exchange or refund request.
Just email us at returns@girlmeetsdress.com with your preference to either return or exchange the dress for another one.
Returning the dresses you've enjoyed is quick and easy.
Simply pack the dress/bag in its original packaging and stick the Return Label provided to you when the dresss was delivered.

YES, if you are borrowing a dress for the Fri, or Sat night, you may return it on Monday as if for 3 nights.
We ignore Sundays as our postmen don't go to work!!

We are an online boutique and do not have a dress hire shop. We are based in London and
deliver throughout the UK with Next Day delivery available on most of our dresses.
How soon will I receive my order?
For a 2 night rental, your products will be delivered the day before your event. For a 7 night rental, we aim to deliver 5 days before your event date.
NOTE: We always send an email the day before delivery so you know that your dress is on its way. Your dress will never just turn up un-announced!
What about delivery for an 'Advance Try on'?
If your event is over 1 month away and you have requested and paid £10.00 for an Advance Try on the delivery will be as soon as possible after you order.
The date of delivery will depend on the soonest date which the dress has an available slot and it not with another customers. It could be 1 week or 3 weeks but we will of course keep you updated.
Has my dress been dispatched yet?
As soon as your dress leaves GMD HQ, we will email you confirmation and include a tracking number. The box will then arrive with you the following day before 1pm.
Can I track my order online?
We ship all of our orders using Royal Mail. When we dispatch your order for delivery you will receive a unique tracking number by email. Once in receipt of this reference number you can check the current status of your shipment on the Royal mail website at http://track.royalmail.com
Alternatively, you can email us on customersupport@girlmeetsdress.com and we will track the order on your behalf.
How much does delivery cost?
Standard UK shipping costs £9.95 This is for both ways all included so it is the only delivery cost you will pay.
We use always use a next day service (starting from when the package is dispatched).
In London (zones 1-2 we offer a Same Day service which is £20.00
The following prices are an indication of Girl Meets Dress delivery prices for 1 box which can contain inside 1-3 dresses.:
UK DELIVERY - Next Day delivery BEFORE 1PM (starting from when the package is dispatched) - (£9.95)
LONDON SAME DAY DELIVERY (Available on request) - London based orders between Zones 1 + 2 - (£20.00)
What are the delivery times?
UK Next Day delivery from the day of being shipped. Delivery is Mon-Fri BEFORE 1PM
Do you deliver on Saturdays?
Our standard delivery is Mon-Fri but yes if the delivery is urgent then we can deliver to you on Saturday. There is a £5.00 extra charge for this service. Please contact us if you wish to request this on enquiries@girlmeetsdress.com
Do you offer same day delivery in London?
Yes, we offer same day delivery in London within zones 1 + 2 if the requested dresses are in stock and available. The extra courier charge for this is £20.00. Email enquiries@girlmeetsdress.com request a same day delivery.
Do you offer next day delivery within the UK?
Yes, we offer all UK customers the super-special privilege of renting from Girl Meets Dress on a NEXT DAY delivery option if you have a last-minute event! But ONLY of course if the requested dresses are in stock and available.
If you require urgent Next Day delivery please place the order before 2pm and select the event date on the checkout page PLUS send us an email on enquiries@girlmeetsdress.com to confirm that you indeed require this service.
Do you deliver outside the United Kingdom?
At this time, we only deliver orders within the United Kingdom.
Do I need to sign for my order?
We require proof of delivery for all orders but it doesn't need to be you who signs.
What happens if I am out when you deliver?
If no one is available to sign for the package when the Royal Mail courier attempts to deliver, they will leave a card at the delivery address confirming that they have tried to deliver. Follow the instructions on this card to pick up the item from your local delivery office.
Do you deliver to a work address?
Yes, we can deliver to We can deliver to your permanent residential address or your place of employment. We will require a signature on delivery so please ensure there is somebody there to sign.
