Top 5 best dresses worn by celebrities this summer
This past week has seen the likes of royal weddings to exciting summer movie premieres. And with the weather making us feel more like we’re in the Cayman Islands instead of our sun challenged northern island, there’s no time like the present to bare a little skin! And that is exactly what our favourite celebs have been doing…
Always one to appear cool and collected, the stunning Mila Kunis donned a gorgeous white Louis Vuitton dress for the premiere of her latest film Friends with Benefits with co-star Justin Timberlake. Crisp white and precisely structured, this halterneck shift shows off her glowing tan and unjustly long legs in a girly and subtly flirtatious way. Perhaps more English garden party than red carpet chic, but with her perfect hair and accessories this girl can do no wrong.
Olivia Palermo chose this season’s colour blocking trend in the shape of a pleated floor length sun-dress by DKNY to the DKNY Sun Soiree in New York City. Accented with an understated pair of strappy stilettos and gold accessories, this modern take on sixties fashion was on-trend yet polished, exactly what we’d expect from Olivia.
The angelic Emma Roberts ventured out in a floor-length, long-sleeved Leyendecker white dress with sheer stripes for the Nova Art’s Project in New York. Accentuating her slight figure, this dress gave off a mature and sophisticated vibe from the young actress. With her hair left naturally straight and some chunky platform sandals the dress was played down and allowed Emma to shine in comfort.
Rachel Weisz was a natural lady in red, in a stunningly simple, short Valentino dress for the premiere of her new film The Whistleblower. With bows on the shoulders and a straight neck-line, Rachel kept her look timelessly chic with nude pumps to accentuate her long legs and silver accessories. Her side parting and wavy tresses made this look old Hollywood and classically glamorous.
Finally, and by far the bravest of them all, Rosie Huntington-Whitely. While promoting Transformers 3, Rosie’s Gucci asymmetrical dress leaped off the red carpet with pure beauty. The green top with ornate floral detailing up the shoulder and sheer black floor length skirt was breath-taking. Teamed with sky-high stilettos, she rocked the look like a true show stopper.
