It’s the most wonderful time of the year! What better way to be the belle of the ball with a new ball gown! Girl Meets Dress is offering some gorgeous dresses to stun this season from some of your favourite designers!

Alexander Wang of course top the glam factor with a slinky number of the Panne Velvet Dress, this gorgeous long length dress is stunning for that elegant look. The low back makes me instantly think James Bond’s girl style dress. Paired with a long length blazer to take you home and you’ve glamour in the cab too! A beautiful dress reinstating the effortless and timeless piece of velvet.

To add sparkle in your step; go gold with Jovani’s Sequin Tulle Gown. This stunning floor length strapless dress shows instant shine. The best part to really twinkle is the mermaid style bodice that elegantly flows into the tail of the dress. This is such a beautiful dress to really show a statement.

For those who prefer simpler sleeker designs, the Little Mistress Wrap Front Dress in Silver is the ideal. The simple silver grey full-length dress that has detailing on neckline and waistline. This is definitely for those who prefer something simpler in flow of the dress and using the waistline to show off a great figure. This would be the perfect dress for winter and using the crystal like detailing to show off seasonal spirit.

Dina Bar-El Louisedress is an absolute stunner of a dress. The detailing on the bodice that flows around the back of the dress to keep eyes captured at all the of the dress is perfect for this season. In a gorgeous black with floral detailing through the dress. The skirt sits beautifully on the end and would be the ideal black tie or ball gown dress!
Whatever your style or occasion you’re sure to find the perfect dress at Girl Meets Dress!

I checked out the girl’s party dresses from GMD and liked what I saw; I’m already dreaming of my next night out. I’m ready to throw a favourite leather jacket or a structured cape over any of these dazzling party dresses and dance the night away…
First, I looked to black party dresses available; whether it’s a little black dress you’re looking for or a long black dress, there is a party dress to suit any figure. If peplum is your thing, add length AND a fishtail cut with the beautifully balancing Pia dress by Jarlo. The Havanna women’s party dress by MSGM will accentuate your waist and you can get tucking into those canapés while your legs steal all the attention; but if you’d like to try something a little more casually louche, style yourself downtown-chic in Alexander Wang’s Ruffled Skirt Dress.
I would challenge the girl (yes, I mean you) looking to hire designer party dresses to resist the bold magenta red and sexy plunge of Herve Leger’s V-Neck Bandage dress. Of all red party dresses, this is the queen of party dresses for women; retailing at £1,330, it is available to hire for £129 – so it would be surprising if your best friend was wearing the same thing!
I’m a pink lady at heart and whilst browsing through for my next try on session I found some cheaper party dresses for glamorous girly girls. Now that punky tartans and the sombre colours of winter have taken to the high street, nothing screams femininity and brightens up the evening like rosy pastel hues and shocking pink. This flowing pink party dress complete with sparkles from Lili London is long enough to swish and won’t break the bank – it’s available to hire for £29 and the perfect compliment to any skin tone. This is a great compromise between short party dresses and the silhouette that this train of material can create for you.

Last of all, but by all means not least, I love the killer fuchsia of Marchesa Notte’s strapless pink party dress. This stunning design would do nicely for my next girl’s night out and serve me well for a more formally dress coded drinks reception too! I am already imagining teaming with patent heels and visualising clutch bags… Perhaps a certain set of pink amethyst earrings I glanced at on the GMD website. Who would believe you could get hold of a 100% silk ladies party dress imbued with Hollywood glamour for £59?

Ever the ultra glamorous sidekick of the trusty Little Black Dress, a long evening dress will silhouette the taller among us and create length for the shorter in profile. These dresses possess the magical powers of elongating the legs whilst bringing attention and proportion to beautiful shoulders, a statement necklace or toned arms. For A/W 2013 choose a long dress and update the floaty, floral maxi dresses of summertime ready for autumn birthdays, stylish nights out in your student city and Christmas balls – look to the Long Black Dress.
Look no further than the collection of long evening dresses available to hire from the girls at Girl Meets Dress and plan in advance for your special event, or find an excuse to stand out from the crowd. For me, the Alexander Wang Panne Velvet Dress is the quintessential, profile-hugging floor length dress which will showcase an elegant back and shoulders perfectly and is available for £49 as opposed to the retail price of £285. If you love lace and are still keen to show off your pins, Dark Pink’s Susie Lace Maxi Dress will make you feel a million dollars.
If this is too daring for your evening, try Butter by Nadia’s Black Jersey Gown for a guaranteed fit and attention to the décolletage. When black just won’t cut it, consider the understated Cerulean Jersey gown, again from Butter by Nadia, a fit that would put Kate Middleton to shame. Finally, who could resist injecting some colour into the colder days with the striking pink of Ariella’s Elizabeth Gown?
